Sydney Garvey shares her experience of transitioning from having a team to building a strategic team. As the owner of Garvey’s Gardens, she started as a flower farmer and later expanded to a brick and mortar florist shop. Sydney emphasizes the importance of having a team to be able to take on more of a workload without working yourself to the ground.
But don’t get it twisted, having a team can be both a blessing and a burden. While a team can help with some of your workload, a strategic team goes one step further. A strategic team assumes ownership of a specific area of your business, allowing you to focus on the bigger picture and scale your operations! That’s the kind of team you need to create!
As a student of the Abundance Group, Sydney honed her skills and knowledge, but she needed more specific guidance in the wedding business aspect which was the perfect fit in our Accelerator. After joining the program, Sydney tripled her wedding business between 2022 and 2023, with projections to triple again!
What’s her secret? Building a strategic team capable of handling the influx of business. Sydney was then able to scale her operations without being overwhelmed.

She listened to modules during downtime and revisited specific sections when needed, such as website development and marketing strategies.
