There are so many different phases in your business. The starting phase until about hitting about $500k in revenue is your growing phase. Then there is the $500k to $1 million in revenue that is the scaling phase of your business! During these phases, you are still heavily involved in the day-to-day of your business but you’re not quite sure hoe to get out of that.
That’s where the Legacy business comes in! The Legacy business is helping get themselves where they would like to be in the business out of the day-to-day as much as they would like to be and stepping into that role of CEO. This would then create a legacy business that can outlive you!
“New ideas can be dangerous. Focus on the best opportunities and prioritize at this stage of scaling.”
Carrie Flynn
In order to be able to grow, you always have to have a plan! One of the most important things you MUST do to assess where you need to apply yourself to grow is looking at your numbers. You have to put your feelings aside and look at your numbers to be able to scale and grow!
The next thing is stay focused. It is so easy to get distracted at this stage by your peers in a mastermind you’re in or a coaching program giving you like what’s working for them. There are so many different things that could distract you, so if you try to start a bunch of new things or try to do too much, It can actually hinder your growth at this stage. So prioritizing at this stage is very important.
Now you might be asking yourself “Are there particular numbers that I should be looking at?” and guess what? Yes, there are. One of the main ones to look at is your monthly revenue. Another really important one is your profit, what you take home at the end of every month.Sometimes it is scary to look at these numbers but you can’t let that keep you from growing!
Another thing you should do is, look at what your best selling offer is, what was your highest revenue month in the last 12 months? What were you selling? Pulling these numbers makes sure that you are not leading by emotion and just strictly looking at data!
When you are wanting to grow or scale your business you have to make sure you are putting your marketing efforts towards the right offers and the right strategies. There’s four buckets of marketing that are pretty popular. They are the paid traffic, organic social, relationship marketing, and search marketing.
Its super important to know you business to be able to safely decide which strategy is going to work the best for you! Knowing your target audience or your ideal client is the first thing you need to figure out.
Once you’ve figured that out, you NEED to get your ideal client onto your email list and get them engaged and educated on there! Social media is also a great way to market your business. It is a really common way nowadays but not the only way you should be marketing. Thats where the relationship marketing and the search marketing come in. Networking and doing things like podcasts and looking for the best opportunities for your business.
