If this your first time here, this is the story of Brandee Gaar’s journey. From Corporate, to Entrepreneur, to coaching wedding pros!

The Importance of Mid-Year Reflections

Happy Summertime! Before I begin, I want to challenge you!

We’re officially halfway through the year, and I love this time because it’s perfect for reflection.

With two quarters behind us and two ahead, it’s crucial to assess our business performance.

Are we on track with our goals?

Are there strategies that need tweaking?

This mid-year check-in helps us stay focused and make necessary adjustments to ensure we end the year strong.

Brandee Gaar’s Journey: From Corporate to Entrepreneur

My journey began as a corporate event planner at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida.

Fresh out of university, I had big dreams of climbing the corporate ladder and achieving significant milestones by 35.

However, the birth of my first daughter in 2005 made me reconsider my career path.

The demanding nature of my job conflicted with my new role as a mother, leading me to make a pivotal decision to leave the corporate world.

The Birth of Blush: A New Beginning

In 2007, I founded Blush by Brandee Gaar, my wedding planning business.

Initially, I didn’t plan to start my own business; I joined another local wedding planner.

But soon, I realized my ambition to grow and create something substantial.

Blush was born out of a desire to not just plan amazing weddings for clients but to build a thriving business.

Family and Business: Striking a Balance

My husband has played a crucial role, initially as my assistant and later managing the backend operations of Blush.

This partnership allowed me to focus on sales and client relations, contributing to the rapid growth of our business.

Our collaborative efforts exemplify the importance of support and teamwork in building a successful business.

Overcoming Burnout and Scaling Up

By 2016, despite Blush’s success, I faced severe burnout.

The business’s rapid growth demanded my constant attention, leaving me overwhelmed.

Recognizing the need for change, I sought external help to restructure my business.

Learning to delegate, building a capable team, and stepping into my role as CEO were transformative steps that helped me regain control and scale the business sustainably.

These challenges and triumphs are integral parts that have shaped the curriculum of the Wedding Pro CEO Accelerator.

The Birth of a Coach: Sharing My Knowledge

In 2020, I began coaching other wedding planners and wedding professionals.

My experience of restructuring and scaling my business provided valuable insights I wanted to share.

I started this podcast to reach a broader audience. (Then it was called the She Who Dares Podcast.)

My coaching focuses on helping established wedding professionals who feel overwhelmed restructure their businesses for sustainability and profitability.

This passion for teaching is a cornerstone of the Wedding Pro CEO Coaching and Community.

My Mission: Helping You Succeed

My mission is clear as a business coach for wedding planners, photographers, and other wedding entrepreneurs: to help wedding professionals build businesses they love. (double and triple their annual revenue)

I understand the unique challenges of the wedding industry and aim to provide the knowledge and tools needed to overcome them.

Through this podcast and my coaching, I offer practical advice, strategies, and support to ensure you can achieve your business goals without sacrificing personal well-being.
