Jordan Oliveira-Heller entered the event industry when he bought a catering company with only the ability to make a good ham and cheese sandwich.
After the company inevitably failed, Jordan used his wedding industry knowledge and connections to move over to the venue sales side of things, first at a beach front property and then at the historic home and art museum of John and Mable Ringling.
It was during this time that Jordan created a series of networking and celebratory events that eventually became Suncoast Wedding and Event Leaders.
After leaving the Ringling, Jordan took SWEL from a fun side project to a full-time gig by adding a membership option and taking the bi-annual events and making them monthly.
During the pandemic, SWEL has shifted into a digital format with monthly webinars and zoom networking.
I had so much fun chatting with Jordan during this episode because he shares so much about his journey and how his failures became lessons that have helped him succeed!
